By far the most important benefit of union membership is the opportunity to participate in your union—to speak out at meetings, vote on contracts, elect officers, and serve as stewards, officers, or committee members.  Your participation makes the union stronger and more effective in representing your interests.

Union Plus Program

AIL Accidental Death Insurance

All members of Local 1085 are insured through the American Income Life Insurance Co. in case of accidental death or dismemberment for up to $2,000.  Members who wish to obtain a certificate of insurance or purchase life insurance may contact AIL at 1-800-922-9220.

 

 

CWA Joe Beirne Scholarships

Local 1085 Scholarships

Local 1085 offers $1,500 college scholarships to members of the Local or their families.  Recipients of Local 1085 are selected by a random drawing every June.  Please call the Local office for further information or click here to download a scholarship application form.
