Joe Beirne Scholarship Program
The Foundation’s Board of Directors has approved the awarding of sixteen (16) partial college scholarships of $4,000 each for two years. Eligible for the scholarships are CWA members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, including the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members. Applications will be available solely online for submission on the Foundation’s website at https://cwa-union.org/beirne-application.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors also approved the addition of one (1) new scholarship in the name of “Addie Brinkley RMC Lifetime Member Scholarship” for the sole use of RMC Lifetime members, their spouses, their dependents or their grandchildren in the amount of $4,000 annually for up to two years. RMC President Gwen Parker will be distributing a notice to the RMC Lifetime members with the details of the process once it has been established with the goal of an official launch in November 2026.

CWA LOCAL 1085 ANNUAL YOUTH ORGANIZATION GRANT WINNERS
2026- 2027 CWA Local 1085 Annual Youth Organization Grant applications available NOW!!
Who can apply?
- Present members of CWA Local 1085 only can apply on behalf of a youth organization in which their immediate family member is actively enrolled.
- Funds must be used directly towards youth programs, classes, or events within the state of New Jersey.
- Sports Leagues, scouting groups, creative organizations, and other youth organizations can receive this grant. An individual cannot be the recipient of this grant.
- This grant is intended to help improve the overall organization and the youth it serves.
